"As you already know, I have found a full time position in my field here in Sarasota. It has been a long road to arrive here and I didn't do it alone. So this is a BIG thank you to you and the Transitioning Professionals of Sarasota. By the time I moved to Sarasota in March I had already been unemployed for over a year. Since I started attending TPS meetings in early April I have learned some new tips and information about resumes and cover letters, but the most important aspect for me has been the support of the group, each Tuesday. I gained more confidence to speak in front of a group with a 30 second elevator pitch that everyone helped me refine each week. I had a place to be each Tuesday morning that motivated me to get out of the house, keep finding ways to network and be more comfortable networking. Networking is tough for us introverts but practicing in TPS made it seem less foreign. And I landed my job as a result of networking! TPS is really a complete package for learning to market and sell an awesome product (yourself!) to get results in a tough job market."

"I wanted to personally say "thank you." I will be starting my full-time position with the school district next Tuesday, so regretfully, I'll be unable to attend anymore workshops in the near future. I can't tell you how much I've appreciated all of the helpful information and feedback you've provided during the past two months. Even though I was fortunate enough to have a job offered to me almost a month ago, I felt an obligation to continue to educate myself regarding the job search and put myself in the best position possible to secure meaningful employment opportunities. The workshops have proven to be invaluable to me and I'll continue to utilize the information you provided to the best of my ability. My sincere thanks and appreciation to both you and John, for these valuable job seeker workshops you provide to those of us in search of meaningful employment. Continued success in all your future endeavors."

"I wanted to send an email regarding my experience with the Transitioning Professionals group. First I want to thank you and the group for the support. Not only did I learn a lot about myself and what steps were needed to improve my chances of getting a job, but the group also lended itself as a "support group", which I felt was just as important or maybe even more. The key ingredients are doing the work you outline, maintain a positive attitude, and persistence. It felt good going to the Transitional Professional meeting each week, gaining valuable information, but also hearing success stories. Also, you get to hear the story about Scot in the auto industry over and over!! Just kidding. Doing this work voluntarily and genuinely wanting to help people as well as having a family and running a business shows the integrity of Scot. Good Luck to everyone, and it does work!"

"When I was in the transition of seeking a new position this summer and fall, I attended the weekly sessions of the Transitioning Professionals/Executives of Sarasota that is facilited by Scot Cummin. Scot really puts people at ease and is a terrific motivator. Through talking about the steps of the transitioning professional program, helping with resumes and elevator speeches, encouraging networking and providing our weekly "dose" of motivational video, Scot helped me work my network and look at opportunities from different angles. The comradery in the group is a result of Scot's guidance. I'd recommend Scot and the Transitioning Professionals experience to anyone."

"I was fortunate to find the free seminar that Scot and the people of Transitioning Professionals / Executives offer to older professionals looking for new positions. I had been unemployed or underemployed for several years but what I learned on the first day from Scot opened my eyes. I learned how internet networking on such sites as Linkedin.com and even Facebook.com had become the dominant method of finding job opportunities; I had not even heard of Linkedin.com before then. I learned that my job search strategies were at least 10 years behind the times. I learned how my usual job search methods were costing me opportunities, not finding them. I learned how to market myself and present my experience and skills in the best manner. I am convinced that implementing just a few of the simpler techniques that I learned from Scot, such as how to rewrite my resume so that it gets past the computers and on the desk of a real live person, was responsible for my finding a good position within a few weeks. I not only strongly recommend Scot and Transitioning Professionals / Executives as an invaluable resource for the job-hunting professional or executive, but I think that the TPE seminar should be a required course for all students who are about to embark on their first important job search."

"The facilitators are direct and to the point. They make you work and analyze yourself in ways you may never have done before. As they have said "finding a job is the hardest job you will ever have." I believed in the program and I know I found my job using their ideas."

"What a gift I found when I came to Transitioning Professionals. Their program is outstanding and covers everything I needed to find my dream job. They are awesome!"

"From their program, I conquered my fear of networking and that networking found my new position. The position was not even posted when I interviewed."

"Many thanks to Scot Cummin for your effective Transitioning Professionals/Executives meetings I attended at DeVry University. The timely and practical information I learned from your sessions was extremely helpful in my job search. I hope many others will get the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of your knowledge and expertise as I have. I'm glad to call you my friend and I wish you the very best in all of your endeavors, Scot."
